How-to change the remoted desktop (RDP) port in Windows 10?

  1. Press the “Windows key”+R
  2. Type “regedit” and hit enter
  3. Go to value set “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp”
  4. Look for the REG_DWORD key entitled “port number” and double click it
  5. Set “Base” value to decimal
  6. Change the value to the desired port number (default is 3389)
  7. Don’t forget to change any inbound firewall setting you have to the new port.

Exit and reboot.
