How do I enable remote desktop (RDP) in Windows 10?

To set up the PC you want to connect to do the following:

On the Windows 10 pc you want to connect to, select Start > Settings > System > Remote Desktop, and turn on Enable Remote Desktop.

Make note of the name of this PC under “How to connect to this PC”.

To use Remote Desktop to connect to the PC you set up:

On your local Windows 10 PC, in the search box on the taskbar, type “Remote Desktop Connection”, then click on “Remote Desktop Connection” icon. Type the name of the PC you want to connect to, then click Connect.

You can connect to your Windows 10 PC using an Android phone or iPhone/iPad, simply download a free “Remote Desktop” app from the App Store and use the same PC name you used previously to connect to the PC.
